Music mogul Dr. Dre was cuffed by cops after he was allegedly racially abused by a ranting motorist.
Dr. Dre had a run in with the driver blocking the driveway to his beachfront mansion in Malibu.Cuffed: Dr. Dre was patted down and placed in handcuffs after sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call from someone claiming the music mogul had pulled a gun on him during a road rage incident in Malibu on Monday
The N.W.A. co-founder, rapper and producer got into a dispute with the man who ‘cussed at him’ after moving his vehicle to let him access his driveway.
While officers were happy to let Dre go, and he was not arrested, TMZ said, the other driver involved wanted to file a complaint and filled out an incident report.Dre was seen speaking with deputies after he'd asked a driver blocking his driveway to move prompting the guy to start yelling at him and then claim Dre had a gun. Deputies did not find a weapon
That report will now be sent to the District Attorney for review.According to TMZ, Dre had taken out a cell phone to film the driver yelling at him, and the driver had shouted, 'Here we go again, another black guy with a gun'
Dre – whose real name is Andre Young – found fame with rap group N.W.A. that featured fellow East L.A. natives Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren, and DJ Yella, whose story was told in last year’s Straight Outta Compton.
Their gangsta rap music featuring explicit lyrics and anti-police sentiment, was born out of their experience with the LAPD while growing up in the predominantly black neighborhood.
Dr left the group in 1991 and the following year he released his own solo album on Death Row Records, a label he co-founded with Suge Knight.
