The unnamed conjoined twin boys were born to mum Shabana Khatun, 23, who thought she was having twins.
But doctors discovered the malformation and she gave birth via c-section at Mahatma Gandhi District Hospital in India on Friday, local sources said.
Dr Pushpa Pavaiyya, who lead the team of doctors, said: “Since it was not a regularly delivery case, an eight-member team of doctors was formed to help with the delivery.”
The baby was immediately taken to intensive care, but tragically only survived a few hours.
“My husband and I were willing to raise the child just the way he was.
“But doctors advised us to take him to an advanced hospital for better treatment. We are poor and have no money for his treatment.
“I do not know what will happen to my child. I only hope he becomes normal.”
